Did Business Blow it?
Since the modern EHS movement became part of the mainstream, business has advocated that voluntary standards are a more efficient and effective way of managing EHS issues than regulation. So has theory been proven in the last 8 years? Has business driven EHS performance in the absence of regulations and enforcement? Or, as Stephen Evanoff wonders in his post this week, did business blow it?
