The Green Tie Launches October 6th, 2008!
Entering the world of on-line discussion is a natural fit for a professional networking group. And, we are excited to welcome you to the NAEM blog!
Sharing experiences, lessons-learned and ideas is what NAEM is all about…
And for those who are new to us, NAEM is a non-profit professional development association composed of individuals from companies, government and other institutions who are responsible for managing the environmental, health, safety (EHS) and sustainability programs of their respective organizations.
The NAEM focus is on management, not technical prowess. We strive to enhance the business acumen, program management, and leadership skills of the professional community as a whole. As such, the NAEM Blog will feature a collection of voices, not just one.
In launching The GreenTie, we seek to address and discuss the key challenge areas common to all of us: setting and managing the vision, leading your team, implementing your strategies, and communicating your value. To achieve this goal, we’ve selected a handful of EHS managers who represent the best our profession has to offer.
I believe we can make a difference on this planet one EHS/Sustainability manager at a time.
You don’t need to be a member to join in the conversation. We want to hear all from you all so that you can share the challenges and rewards that come with managing and guiding an organization’s goal of producing value across a triple bottom line!
